Li’l Woodzeez is celebrating its 15th anniversary! Each month of this year, we’ll be taking a closer look at one chosen family and recognizing all the things that make it special. We want to give a big round of applause to all the wonderful Famileez that make up our beloved town of Honeysuckle Hollow!
This February, we’re putting a spotlight on the Quickquack Ducks. Say hello!
There are four feathered ducks in this family of four: Mom Cappy, Dad Quincy, little girl Kelly, and baby boy Kenny. Together, they run the Round-the-Pond Boat Tours in Honeysuckle Hollow! They are master boaters who pilot their steamboat in the summer, showing all their Li’l Woodzeez friends a good time on the water. The Quickquack Ducks are adventurous and loving, always ready to try new things!
Fun Facts About the Quickquack Ducks
- Fun with Fish: Kelly has named every fish in the pond. They have names like Kai the koi, Benny the bass, and Goldie the goldfish
- Sailor’s Intuition: The Quickquack ducks are experts at predicting weather. They can spot a storm coming before a single raindrop falls.
- Hidden Talent: Although they spend most of their time in their boat, Honeysuckle Hollow’s favorite ducks are synchronized swimmers! Birds of a feather flock together!
- Favorite Snack: The Quickquacks love nothing more than peanut butter and quackers! A simple, nutty treat.
- Aye-Aye Capn’: If you ask the Quickquacks who’s the best boat captain, they will all point at each other!
Did you know?
There are many different words for a group of ducks. A group of ducks is either called a paddling, a raft, or a flock, depending on where they are!
On land, ducks are called a flock or a waddling (because of how they waddle).
On water, they are called a paddling or a raft (because of how they float).
In flight, a group of ducks is called a flight, a flock, or a skein! A skein is a length of yarn, which is what ducks might look like when they fly together in a straight formation.
