Li’l Woodzeez is celebrating its 15th anniversary! Each month of this year, we’ll be taking a closer look at one chosen family and recognizing all the things that make it special. We want to give a big round of applause to all the wonderful Famileez that make up our beloved town of Honeysuckle Hollow!
This February, we’re putting a spotlight on the Slothington Sloths. They’re new in town, and they couldn’t be more excited to meet you!
Honeysuckle Hollow’s sloths are a family of four: Parents Sol and Sage, little boy Dilly, and baby girl Dally. One thing they all have in common is that they love to take it slooow and steady, always. Sage drives the town’s school bus very carefully, and Sol is a teacher who is very patient and kind. The Slothington Sloths are easygoing, lovable critters who never skip their chance to stop and smell the roses.
Fun Facts About the Van North Polar Bears
- Crafting Circles. Sage loves to host craft circles! Sol is a master at macrame, and both Dilly and Dally are big fans of bead art. Anything that weaves is right up their sleeves!
- Expert Climbers. The sloths have the strongest grip in Honeysuckle Hollow, which allows them to climb trees with ease! They are the only family that loves to read books upside down.
- Rainy Days. Rain, rain, don’t go away! The Slothingtons love the smell of rain and its lovely pitter-patter. They say it’s the best time to have looong, restful naps.
- Favorite Food. The Slothington Sloths are head over heels for pineapple upside down cake! Soft, buttery, and sweet, this dessert is like a slice of sunshine on a lazy afternoon.
- Hidden Talents. Sage, Sol, and Dilly give the best piggyback rides in all of Honeysuckle Hollow – perfect for racing around the park with their friends.
Did you know?
Our lovable sloths had many potential names before landing on “Slothington.” Inspired by the slow and steady nature of these animals, there were Hanginton, McCanopy, Poco-a-Poco, Easydoesit, Lollygag, Wannagoslo, Hushington, Fussbegone, and Dawdledangle among many others!
