The Hearts of Hollow festival is in full celebration in Honeysuckle Hollow. All acts of love, kindness and appreciation are encouraged! One week is extra special because it focuses on undercover kindness, which are kind acts that the neighbors do for each other that no one knows about. The Kingsberry lions Katt, Roy, Kya and Kip find this week a favorite week. Because the lions are so large, they must go to extra lengths to hide or be swift when doing their acts of love to go unnoticed.

“Listen up children!” Roy announced one morning. “I have a very special idea for the whole community!”

“Yes,” continued mom Katt “We thought up a special and fun way to surprise our neighbors this year for the Hearts of Hollow festival!”

“This year, we will go out each evening and build snow forts in the backyards of each family in Honeysuckle Hollow!”, described Roy.

It might surprise you to know the Kingsberry lions love snow. They are expert builders and so creating snow forts seemed like a novel and nature surprise.

That evening they headed out to build their first one. They dressed all in white to disguise themselves and snuck into the backyard of their friends the Oliphants. They made big snow block and soon the shape of a small hut started to form.

The next morning the Oliphants left their house to discover the snow fort outside their door. The Kingsberry watched from afar as the whole family cheered and piled inside with cups of coco.

“Who is next?”, asked Kya.

“Maybe we should try and build something different!” suggested Kip.

“What are you thinking?” asked Katt

“What about if we create a big snow cheese for the Handydandy mice!” suggested Kya.

“Perfect!” they all cried.

They put on their snow disguises once again and went out to the Handydandy’s home and started once again to build. A few hours passed and the snow began to fall but the Kingsberrys continued to build until a giant triangle of white cheese took shape. There were lots of holes in it for the young Handydandy mice to scurry inside and play.

HeartBunting

The week continued like this, every day the Kingsberrys would select a different house to go build something special out of snow for the family to play outside. It was a kind and thoughtful gesture and because they were so fast and wore disguises no one knew who was doing it.

On the last day, feeling a bit tired from their snow extravaganza, the Kingsberrys headed home. As they arrived at their front door, they saw an enormous heart filled with chocolate and a big bouquet of flowers wrapped in red paper

“Who could it be?” Katt gasped.

“Someone has found us out” laughed Kya.

“Someone who loves us back!” said Roy.
